Brown Bagging has become the Discovering History Speaker Series, and will now be presented the first Friday of every month! Join us for our inaugural event, “The Real Pocahontas: The True Story of America’s Most Popular Native American Princess”

An exploration of the legendary life of Pocahontas, and the timeline of events that led her to become one of America’s most memorable historical figures with Abby Farnsworth, a student at Ashland University, currently pursuing a both a BA in History and an MA in American History and Government with a research focus on Women’s History

What we will be discussing:

– Her childhood and adolescence

– Her encounters with John Smith

– Her marriage to John Rolfe

– Her Legacy
