We were deeply saddened today to learn of the passing of David McCullough. His most recent book, The Pioneers, has been influential in bringing many to our museums and to Marietta to learn more about the Northwest Ordinance.

Rest in peace sir we are losing too many people that know the history if we don’t pay attention it’s going to be gone

This is very sad news. I enjoyed Pioneers; it brought me to your fascinating museum last month.

So sorry to hear this!

Just finished the Pioneers biography after visiting the museum. Thanks to all,.

From my Connecticut front porch today I start “The Pioneers”. TY for sharing.

His books are top notch. I really loved the Pioneers.

Loved his work and his books on region But he kinda passed over jefferson/ steubrnville and Columbiana counties in that history..

Campus Martius and Ohio River Museum - could you describe a bit of what the program will consist of ( ie. a live speaker , a slide show, actual items to see....)? Thanks! 😊

Would this be appropriate for 6-7 year olds?

Tisha Springer Cass would love this and maybe Silas Springer!

Do people know the 4 cannons at the foot of the Putnam street bridge are real and use to fire (just not at that location)
